On January 19, Ambassador Chen Daojiang attended and addressed the inaugural ceremony of the Jamaica China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification.

Mark Golding, Opposition Leader of Jamaica and President of the People's National Party, Alando Terrelonge, State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, attended the ceremony along with around 450 guests.
