Guidance on China Online VISA application

Step 1: Register an account

Click https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/. Firstly, register an account in the China Online Visa Application System and sign in to the account to enter the visa application page. Click the button marked with a red circle in the image below to enter the login/registration page.

Click the red-circled "Register a new account" button below to register an account.

Once registered, return to the login page to sign in. If you already have an account, simply enter your registered email, password, and the verification code. The verification code will be sent to your email used to register the account.

Step 2: Select the city for your visa application

Select the city where you wish to submit your visa application, for example: 

North America / Jamaica / KINGSTON

Step 3: Fill in the application form, upload the materials 

After selecting the city, you will be taken to the following page. Click the "Start Filling in the Form" button. 

Fill out the application form correctly, and completely upload the application materials as required. You may save a draft of the unfinished application form if you need to sign out during the process.

Step 4: Check the result of the preliminary review

Once your application is submitted, the Embassy may require you to provide additional materials at any time. Track the progress of your application through the "Track the status of my application" page.

The Embassy may return your application for revision. You can make relevant revisions or supplements through the "Track the status of my application" page.

Step 5: Submit your passport

After passing the preliminary review, submit your passport by visiting the Embassy or by post as required.(details:https://jm.china-embassy.gov.cn/eng/lsfw/hzqz/202509/t20250923_11713625.htm）

Visit the Embassy to submit your passport on Mondays or Wednesdays(9:30-11:30/14:30-16:30). No appointment is needed. Please note “My appointment” section of the Personal Centre page of China Online VISA application system doesn’t apply for the visa applications submitted to the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica.

Step 6: Collect your passport

The Embassy will make the decision on whether or not to grant the visa based on the result of the final review. Whether the visa is granted or not, your passport will be returned to you.

Follow your application status and collect your passport according to instructions on the "Collect Your Passport" page.
