On March 21, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica H.E. Chen Daojiang attended and delivered a speech at the Reception for China-Jamaica Human Resources Development Cooperation and Sports Coaches Technical Cooperation. Hon. Dr. Norman Dunn, Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Mr. Denzil Thorpe, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport also attended the reception along with officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade，Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Ministry of Industry, Investment, and Commerce, Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency, Jamaica Constabulary Force and representatives of attendees of China-Aid training and exchange programs, athletes and coaches of technical assistance project on sport coaching.
