Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for the position at the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica, Consular Section.
I. Description of Position/ Basic Functions
The staff will be in charge of accepting applications at the visa office, answering inquiries about Consular Documents, and other tasks that may be assigned.
II. Basic Qualification
1.Hold a Jamaican Passport or a Jamaican residence permit which allows employment, and can work full-time;
2.College degree or above;
3.No criminal records;
4.Physical and mental health.
III. Knowledge and Abilities
1.Possession of excellent reading and writing English communication skills (Can Understand Chinese will be better);
2.Full competency in the operation of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, and ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers and related software, photocopying machines, and scanners;
3.High Work Efficiency, Strong Sense of Responsibility;
4.Capable of maintaining professional relationships with staff and clients of the Embassy;
5.Capable of understanding and applying the rules and procedures of the Embassy;
6.Ability to plan and organise work in order to meet schedules and timelines;
7.Ability to maintain records.
