The Yantai City, located in East China’s Shandong Provice and a sister city of Kingston, capital of Jamaica, held a themed and wonderful light show on the night of 11th November 2022, in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Jamaica this year.

The national flags of both China and Jamaica, and slogans including “Celebrating 50th Anniversary of China-Jamaica Relations”, “Wish China-Jamaica Strategic Partnership a Bright Future”, “Long Live China-Jamaica Friendship” and “Long live Yantai-Kingston Friendship” were displayed during the light show in a festival atmosphere.

Yantai and Kingston established sister city relations in November 2019. Yantai donated two mobile vaccine buses to Jamaica in 2021, which received popular appreciation. In July 2022, Yantai signed an Action Plan for Friendly Exchanges with Kingston.
