Starting from August 29th, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Jamaica will accept foreign students who want to apply for X1 visa for long-term academic education in China.

Please refer to the Embassy notice released on June 25th, 2022 (http://jm.china-embassy.gov.cn/eng/lsfw/hzqz/202206/t20220625_10709864.htm) to complete the online visa application form and make an appointment online for the acceptance procedure. Then the applicants can visit the Embassy to apply for X1 visa with ‘Visa Application for Study in China’ (JW201/202) and ‘Admission Notice’ (for new students) / ‘Certificate of Permission to Return Campus’ (for returning students) after reserving a flight ticket to China.

In addition, family members of a foreign student can also apply for a visa to accompany or visit the student, with the invitation letter issued by the student, certification showing the relationship of family members between applicant and the student, a copy of the student’s passport and a valid Chinese residence permit of the student.
