On May 30, 2023, Chinese Embassy in Jamaica hosted a Media Briefing. Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica Chen Daojiang attended and delivered keynote remarks, expounding comprehensively on the China-Jamaica relations, China’s economic situation, high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, the Chinese path to modernization, and the history of the Taiwan question and the one-China principle. Ambassador Chen also answered questions from media on debt issue, China's COVID-19 prevention and control policies, China-Jamaica agricultural cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
