On October 1st, 2023, Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica H.E. Chen Daojiang held a reception celebrating the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China at AC Hotel Kingston. About 350 guests from all walks of life attended the reception, including Senator the Honourable Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Mr. Mark Golding, Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Bruce Golding, Former Prime Minister, Mr. Michael Lodge, Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority, members of the diplomatic corps, and Chinese compatriots.
